Subprocessors
They work only on our instructions, under a data processing contract.
| Provider | What it does | Where | Transfer basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen, Germany | Servers and database. File storage for projects with Store in Germany. | Germany (Falkenstein) | Not needed (EU) |
| Cloudflare, Inc., San Francisco, USA | File storage (R2), database backups and video playback (Stream). New uploads to projects with Store in Germany, comment attachments included, don’t go to it. What was stored before the switch was on stays there. | Stored files and backups: EU. Video playback: worldwide network. | EU-US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses |
| Plus Five Five, Inc. (Resend), San Francisco, USA | Sending service emails. Stores each email and its log for 30 days. Emails name the file and project concerned. An email about a mention quotes the comment, except in projects with Store in Germany or hidden projects. | USA | EU-US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses |
| AssemblyAI, Inc., New York, USA | Turning voice comments into text, only while someone records | EU servers. Support staff outside the EU may have access in individual cases. | EU-US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses |
| Google Cloud EMEA Ltd., Dublin, Ireland (Gemini API) | Translating comments, only when a team member clicks translate. Google keeps the text for up to 55 days to detect abuse. | Worldwide, wherever Google has facilities | EU-US Data Privacy Framework, standard contractual clauses |
We tell workspace owners by email at least 30 days before adding or replacing a subprocessor, as set out in our data processing agreement.
Independent seller
Polar isn’t our subprocessor for what it does as a seller: it sells online orders in its own name and decides how it handles that data, under its own privacy policy. It receives no workspace content. Plans we invoice directly don’t involve Polar.
| Company | What it does | What we exchange | Where and transfer basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Polar Software Inc., Dover, Delaware, USA | Reseller and seller of record for online orders: checkout, payment, tax, invoices and refunds | To Polar: your email, the workspace’s ID and the plan. From Polar: a customer reference, plan and add-on packs, status, billing period and renewal date. | USA, standard contractual clauses |
